Welcome to Access 4 Technology. Access 4 Technology was created by people who have been Community Activists, Technology "Gurus", Counselors, Administrators, Parents and Teachers of Family Literacy, Special Needs Children, Adults and General Education. This group came together through a Community Based project to empower disadvantaged persons of all ages with computer technology. Today our mission has grown to address specific needs of all educational programs to include the resources of technology into their curriculum. Access 4 Technology is committed to four guiding principles: All participants can incorporate technology, at their own level, in their learning experiences. Technology does not need to be expensive for the participant or institution. Equality in access to technology is fundamental for learning today. Integration of technology resources into existing curriculum is more effective than replacing proven instructional methods

Working Together to Achieve Our Goals

It is Access 4 Technology's premise that most of the resources necessary to meet todays standards and to prepare for the future already exist in our communities. Schools have already purchased much of the hardware needed and more usable hardware is available around us. Professional school staff, teachers, community members and students have the skills to "show the way" in their areas of expertise. The important step now is to develop collabrative communication to harvest these resources. Access 4 Technology presents an effective way to build educational skills by integrating your resources; School Staff, Students, Community Members and Hardware.
